Hi! I'm Isabel Tusing, a computer science major at the College of William & Mary and an aspiring game developer.
I love computers, pixel art, and making technology feel playful again.
This is my little corner of the internet where I document what I'm building, learning, and experimenting with.
Recruiters: If you’re here to learn more about my work, you may want to start with the Projects page.
I have a passion for software that blends technical rigor with creativity- especially projects that make complex ideas feel approachable and human.
I am especially drawn toI enjoy working on projects where engineering decisions directly shape user experience, and where experimentation and iteration are encouraged. I care deeply about writing readable, well-structured code and understanding why systems behave the way they do.
I learn best by building things and iterating on them. I like to start with a rough idea, get something working quickly, and refine it through small, deliberate improvements. I’m comfortable experimenting, breaking things, and debugging my way toward better solutions.
Understanding over memorizationWhen learning a new concept or tool, I focus on understanding why things work—not just how to make them run. I break problems into manageable steps, write things out visually, and test my assumptions along the way.
Feedback-driven & collaborativeI’m very open to feedback and enjoy revising my work based on critiques, documentation, or new information. Whether working solo or with others, I value clear communication, thoughtful design decisions, and steady progress over being “perfect on the first try.”
I'd love to spend more time working on interactive systems, game-adjacent projects, and tools that make complex ideas feel intuitive. I am most excited by environments where learning, experimentation, and feedback are encouraged.
If you want to talk about game dev, weird old-school web design, or cool electronics projects, I’d love to hear from you! You can reach me at isabel@isabeltusing.dev
